420 MAAAAAAAN
420, in case you didn't know, was Bob Marley's favorite number-- OUT OF ALL OF THEM. So it's on this day that all the pot-heads out there celebrate his music, message, and College-dorm-room-douchebaggery!
Here's another LOST inspired piece drawn on the back of another Hamm's box.

MOTIONARY COMICS this Friday
Here's the deal:
Between 5pm and midnight, a team of roughly 25 artists will produce a mural-sized comic in real time based on improvisation and collaboration at Moct Bar, 240 E. Pittsburgh.
Choreographer Liz Johnson (YOUR MOTHER DANCES) creates a silhouette-driven story using the bodies of Richard Newman, Liza Bielby, and Brian Patrick Moore (THE HINTERLANDS Performance Ensemble), Jonathan West (SUNSET PLAYHOUSE managing director) and his daughter Dorothea, and Jason Waszak (sometime YOUNGBLOOD collaborator).
A team of colorists will create the silhouettes against a colored background, including Carri Dahl (SKYLIGHT OPERA THEATER charge artist), Andrea Toussaint (FIRST STAGE, FIRESIDE), and freelance designer Nathan Stuber (currently CHAMBER, AMERICAN PLAYERS THEATER).
Illustrators and colorists will work in alternating passes to complete the visual work. Illustrators include Tea Krulos (RIVERWEST CURRENTS), Dan Hernandez (DREADFUL DAYS), Christopher MacDonald (CHILDE ROLAND at Hot Pop), Michael Cothroll (RIVERWEST CURRENTS), Matt Chicorel (NIGHTLIGHT COMICS), and David Beyer, Jr. (TOILET RICE).
Jackie Steffen-Bublitz (LOVESICK ROBOT) wraps up the project by adding text in the final pass.
Documentarians Michelle Sherkow, Lauren Burke, and Jay Bauman (RED LETTER MEDIA) will be on hand to record the event with still and video photography.
Produced by BAD SOVIET HABITS.

ORIGINS part 8 of 9

I meant to post this earlier, but I was busy hanging out with Jesus (and some Magical Elves, and a Mermaid, and a Talking Lion, and Goro from Mortal Kombat)...
So here's the second-to-last NLC ORIGINS chapter, which focuses on Bernadette Watts-- a character who's been mentioned a few times, but who hasn't really made it into any actual stories yet. But the 'team' is forming, and now they got a place to hang and get drunk together-- I mean fight crime or something?...
I really hate the way all these pages look on the computer, so if you take the time to read it here-- I think yer awesome. Either way they're there. And fuck it-- either way I think yer awesome. Not too bad!
Up next: THE CAT-MAN-DO!!!
After that: BUZZPOP #4
After that: Top Secret plans, but plans nonetheless.
Read NLC ORIGINS part 8 of 9: BERNADETTE WATTS HERE!
