ANNIE & TRACY

Part 5 of 9 of the NLC ORIGINS series, ANNIE & TRACY is now online for your viewing pleasure so check it out HE-YAH! October is looking to be a busy month, so I don't know if I'll get part 6 (starring JACK THE MAGICIAN) done by then, but I'll sure as hell try. Who reads these besides me anyways?...

And I know all computers are different, and you're probably way more savvy than me anyways when it comes to them, but if the pages are coming up too small for your liking, keep clicking on it til you get to the full size. Just sayin'.

Oh yeah, and yesterday was Springsteen's birthday, so me and my friend Tabman wrote a new CELEBRATION blog on the CELEBRATION!!! page in honor of that...

DRINK & DRAW: THE RESULTS

Here's my stuff from Drink and Draw the other night. It went okay, not my best, but okay...

The first theme was 'cosmic buffalo', and no one there knew how to draw a buffalo, so that was fun/shitty.

The second was to randomly pick a playing card and draw a new one. Whatever. I drew a guy getting hit with 4 diamonds (based off a suggestion by Tim Demeter), because the only other things I could think of were King Diamond + Brett Favre...

Finally, the last piece was what was gonna be the OCT 10 flyer. I got started, but in the end I decided to go with a different idea.

To see what everyone else did and for more info on DRINK & DRAW go here! Everyone's welcome, and there'll be another next month or early November.

NLC FUNDRAISER on OCT 10 (UPDATED OCT 2nd)

This is a benefit show to hopefully earn me some money to get NLC back on the road... Convention table prices hurt. They hurt like a bastard...

PROGRESS REPORT

I just came home to some more cat shit on the floor, and a broken string on my guitar-- so since I don't feel like dealing with either of those right now, I figure I'll do this-here blog.

I've got one more page to go on the ANNIE and TRACY chapter from the NLC ORIGINS series, so hopefully I'll have it done by this weekend or early next week. I'm excited-- and I posted some preview scans of finished and unfinished panels (as you can see) cause sometimes people find that interesting. And then Jack the Magician will be next in part 6...

Friday is DRINK and DRAW (see previous post), and I plan on working on the poster for the Oct. 10th show during that. That show will be a NLC 2010 Tour Fundraiser / b-day show for me --but not Brett Favre. Maybe it'll be a Fuck-Favre party too (yeah that'll show him!). More on that to come...

Lastly, I'm glad to say thatNON-ADVENTURES #2 is finally getting printed, and if things go to plan I'll have copies of those for the show on the 10th as well. It'll collect all the stuff from LOVE IN THE TIME OF SCABIES and then some...

SEPT 12

Okay, there's all sorts of stuff going on with this one... Like I mentioned before it's the first time I've put all the Night Light characters in one scene (and you can read all about them in the "ORIGINS" series here)...

From right to left: Yellow Jacket, Annie & her Indestructible Guitar, Tracy, Charlie Tabasco, Cat-Man-Do, Cane-Sword-Man, Bernadette Watts, Detective Gus, Kim Green and Jack the Magician.

And then for those not familiar with the Vault --it's one of the houses where you'll find a lot of the basement shows here, in the Riverwest part of Milwaukee. What's funny, is that the house next door to the Vault is an Alcoholics Anonymous place. So as you can imagine, it's quite a scene to see a bunch of drunk kids partying and yukking it up outside in between bands, while ten feet away a bunch of recovering alcoholics are taking their coffee and cigarette breaks in between meetings...Heh.

PS - There will also be a rummage sale to raise money for ROCK AND ROLLER REMOTE CONTROLLER during the day at my friend's house on Center St. right next to Riverhorse.
