MAYBE I SHOULD UPDATE THIS...

...at least once in a while right? incase you aren't constantly flocking to the myspace page, here's an update on all things NIGHT LIGHT COMCS.

this coming weekend i'll be at SPACE in columbus, ohio. do you live around there? if so, you should go. MARS #1 is the newest book i'll have there, but i'll have some new prints. i won't have new pins, or new stickers, or new anything really other than that...

BUT!

do you know about MUSCLES & FIGHTS? that's new. here's a quick run-down.

at FALLCON a few years ago some guy looked at bud burgy's book (at the table next to mine), and after bud asked what he thought the guy said ' nah, i like it the marvel books, like when they have muscles and they fight'. this guy blew my mind, and after chatting it up with some buds (bud included), the idea of MUSCLES & FIGHTS was born.

basiclly it's a bunch of kick ass artsts (see who on the website) each doing their own take on the concept of M&F. i have a 9-page story called 'Z-TRON' and i drew a 4-page action sequence for leith's story. Z-TRON is a team of super-heroes (ala x-men) which i created around 4th grade. i never planned on using them again, but then M&F came along and they were exactly what this project called for. whether you're a super-hero fan or not, you're gonna dig this book. and it's fucking cheap for all the stuff you get. i'll post some samples later, if i remember.

as far as a new comic is concerned, i don't really know when or what that'll be. i've been doing a lot of side projects for other people, but i want to have at least something else by wizard chicago. in the meantime, i'll be finishing up cover art and a NLC exclusive comic for BEAR PROOF SUIT 's upcoming LP, 7-inch artwork for TUFF BANANAS and GOODNIGHT LOVING, and 10 pages or so for amado rodriguez's upcoming 'HEAVY UNDERGROUND'. check back whenever to see if i updated, otherwise check out myspace to see new artwork and stuff...
